Hello,
I don't know how to include adoptive father, when you already know the genetic father. Can you help me ?
ex :
Guifré el pelós de BARCELONA (840-897) had Guiffré 2 borrel (874-911) son who adopt his youngest brother Sunyer 1st (885-950) for patrimonial issues.

Hello guillem,
salutation to the south of France (or what do you call your region like?)!
The GEDCOM standard which is the base of most genealogists' software has ways to handle with that sort of different parents. Alas, Ahnenblatt 2.x concentrated on a scheme that was ment to be as simple as possible - so no way to define adoptive parents etc. in special fields. It was ment to have that sort of data collected in the annotations.
Ahnenblatt 3.0 which is in preparation and live testing, will have methods to define alternative parents like adoptive parents and so on - together with a switch to decide which parent would be ment to be the "main" parent (for tables etc.).
We don't know when AB 3.0 will be out, and the edition with expanded capabilities will be a paying version. At the moment, the 2.9x versions are capable of handling that sort of data, but not editing/inserting it.
Greetings,
Frido

Empfehlung: Für die neue Version 3.1x alle relevanten Handbücher lesen!
(es gibt das Benutzerhandbuch und mehrere Themen-Specials!)
