Hi all,
the new Ahnenblatt 3.x series is available for more than a year. And has even evolved quite a step in meantime. AB 3.12 through 3.14 were published during July 2020.
Almost any combination of GEDCOM facts and dates should be editable - very interesting for those who import data from other sources. You can even define your own facts if necessary.
Now, Ahnenblatt comprises a global source management, places management (already in 2.9x), address management and task management. For sources, it's up to you whether you want to define sources globally or manually for every person or even every info tag. It's the same with godparents: either enter text or choose a person from the family database. Which enables you to decide on multiple levels if you want to continue editing your family data in AB 2.x standard or use the new features. In any of these cases your data file is downward compatible and can be used in AB 2.9x as well.
The navigator window has recently been updated so you can decide by yourself how many generations you want to see in the family preview.
Ahnenblatt 3.x isn't free any more - but you can test it if you want. Just get a copy of the program and install - your AB 2.9 installation won't be touched! You can then purchase a licence via digistore24.com - look at https://www.ahnenblatt.com/#versions
