How to fix switched parents

A number of entries in my tree have the parents switched (i.e. father listed as mother and mother listed as father). Is there an easy way to fix this?

Hi John,

yes you can easily change that.

Switch to the full dialog and just click on the gender.

I have no idea how this happens, but there's a couple of users who reported that problem - some after operating error, some after importing data from another software.

Some years ago, Dirk Böttcher, the creator of the software, gave this advice:
Make sure to be in full editor mode and change the sex of either father or mother. Even if it was correct. You will activate a dialog asking if the partner's sex is to be switched, too. Approve. Problem should be solved. If not, redo the same a second time. Then, all should be fine.

I never had this issue, so I can't confirm that it works, though. But it's worth a try.

I've tried your suggestion but that does not seem to solve the issues - the parents remain gender switched.
