Hello bastien,
we will see whether this was a newbie question or not: You'll get two answers from me.
1. Sosa numbers (also known as Eytzinger, Sosa-Stradonitz or Kékulé numbers) are usually not directly attributed to persons, as the number depends on the start person of a report: Everytime you change the start person in a data set, you would have to change all the numbers. So, in Ahnenblatt, the number is attributed to every person automatically every time you generate a report (ancestors' list).
2. There is a new function in the latest version of Ahnenblatt, where you can define the start number if it's not to be "1": You start the "Generate list" dialog an go to "Options" - you can set another start number when you want a partial list.
EDIT: Or did you want to know where to select the start person - well, it's asked within the list generating dialog. EDIT2: Or it is set in advance in File > Properties > Home person.

By the way - I was a newbie, too, just one year ago. So be ashured that you can become an "expert" in Ahnenblatt things in quite a short time (well, maybe I'm not yet, but feels like...).Bastien hat geschrieben:Ok.
Thank you very much.
