In your Brother's Keeper software there must be a function for exporting or saving in GEDCOM format. When you do it, this should result in a file with .ged extension.
In Ahnenblatt you can open this file from the welcome dialog or from main menu "File / Open... / GEDCOM file".

The brothers keeper that i am trying to get files from is 4.5c that will not run in windows 11

You can try the trial version (7.5) from here: https://www.bkwin.org/trialversion.htm
There is nothing written about GEDCOM limitations of this trial version.
Open your existing database and export to GEDCOM.
Otherwise you should ask the BK support how to proceed.
